FDA- Confusing?

The FDA- Food & Drug Administration is the government agency in charge of “safeguarding” public health through the regulation and oversight of ALL PRODUCTS that affect human health in any way. Supposedly their mission is to disallow the sale or promotion of items that are harmful to health and allow & endorse the sale and promotion of items that are beneficial. However, they are also restricting & overseeing ALL INFORMATION about these items as well, because INFORMATION is where the sale starts- no INFORMATION on the benefits of a Product… no sale.

DO I NEED THE FDA TO REGULATE MY INFORMATION?

This is the country with Freedom of Speech… right? Can’t I read, study and evaluate whatever I want to? Well funny thing, our “First Amendment Rights” DO NOT APPLY TO ANYTHING THE FDA REGULATES- and ALL HEALTH INFORMATION falls under this banner. In fact, according to the FDA website their regulations apply to …ANY ARTICE OR DEVICE “intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease in man or other animals; AND articles (other than food… but this gets tricky, including herbs, dietary supplements, etc.) intended to affect the structure or any function of the body of man or other animals.”

The FDA has THeir Own Court System???

  • The FDA guards ALL “Health Information”.
  • The FDA has their OWN court system.
  • If you don’t follow their Rules you have to go to THEIR COURT!
  • You can’t appeal to a civil court.
  • You generally won’t win.

The FDA holds the keys to the success and failure of all Drug Products

That’s $66 Billion PER MONTH in the USA alone!

How does this play out in regard to marketing/ advertising for Natural Products? Well, in the case of my new book “Mystical, Magical Chai (And How to DIY)” which outlines the properties of the Chai Spices and how they interact with your body to promote healing, I must prominently feature the following FDA “Disclaimer” anywhere there is info about the healing properties of a spice or herb – even if it isn’t true. ..

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.”

So when I tell you that Cinnamon can help regulate blood sugar and may be a natural way to combat diabetes, in the same breath I am required to confuse you and say (whether it’s true or not)… “WARNING, LOOK OUT… THIS PROBABLY WONT HELP YOU IN ANY WAY AND I’M NOT INTENDING TO COMMUNICATE THAT MESSAGE.” Hm, is it any wonder why you are having a hard time figuring out what Natural Remedies you’d like to try?

HOW DOES THE FDA GET AWAY WITH THEIR CENSORING?

The FDA doesn’t voluntarily evaluate information about Natural Herbs or Spices like you might imagine they would. They simply control the market and require a certain PROCESS (costing thousands to a billion dollars for ONE product) for anyone wanting to sell their items.

  • They redefined “Drugs”
  • They require a “testing process” for all “Drugs”
  • And approve the ones they want and disapprove the ones they don’t.

The FDA has conveniently ruled that “only a DRUG has the ability to cure, mitigate, treat or prevent any disease OR to affect the structure or function of the body…” So as soon as a substance is claimed to perform one of those functions it is now legally classified as a “DRUG” and is required to pass their inspections for “safety” before anyone can openly state or share it’s healing properties (but we CAN SELL it… we just can’t share INFORMATION about how it can help you… because it’s not actually been declared an ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE… it’s ILLEGAL INFORMATION. No kidding.) Herbs and Spices are not profitable enough to producers to be worth paying several thousand to a billion dollars for an “inspection,” so our current culture no longer has open access to INFORMATION even about historically documented or scientifically demonstrated Natural Cures. And we will never get it back until we are able to change the regime of the FDA and their partnerships with the Pharmaceutical Industry …and the AMA- American Medical Association.

WHAT DOES THE AMA HAVE TO DO WITH IT?

While we are “walking on thin ice” with the FDA if we explain or share the health benefits of Natural Substances, if anyone clearly defines exactly HOW MUCH of the Substance to take and HOW OFTEN- the AMA (American Medical Association) will immediately declare that they are “prescribing unapproved DRUGS” for a specific condition and “…operating as a Physician without a LICENSE.” Welcome to a huge lawsuit for your criminality!

For example: If I explain to you that Comfrey Tea has a substance called “Allantoin” in it, which is a cell regenerative that is also found in a mother’s milk and placenta and is responsible for the quick reproduction of cells, and I recommend to you that drinking one cup of tea for 7 days could possibly help heal your gut, …and I don’t at the same time repeat that I’m not trying to “…diagnose, treat or cure any disease…” I have #1. Advocated an unapproved “Drug” to you (because it’s a substance that can have an effect on the body), #2. Prescribed an unapproved “Drug” to you, because I told you HOW MUCH TO TAKE, thereby operating as a Physician… without a license. And if I SELL OR GIVE you a piece of Comfrey Root so you can grow this healing agent on your own, I am then operating as an illegal “Drug Dealer!”

BUT CAN I ACTUALLY SELL OR GIVE YOU A COMFREY ROOT?

Sure, as long as I TELL you that it has nothing to do with Healing- it’s just a leafy green landscape plant that can be extremely helpful as a retaining wall to hold back soils on a steep slope because it’s roots can go as deep as 8′ into the ground (which is why it’s an amazing mineral miner and becomes very nutritious in addition to it’s healing properties… but don’t forget…

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.”
